You Can Never Get Enough Of Feathers

Feather Earrings is like the most must have accessory at the moment. I have to admit that I'm not a big fan of the feathers last year, but then I saw that it's quite cool. And I have decided to look for cheap feather earrings.

I hunted these babies for days. Obviously, I keep on going to the wrong place... maybe that's why?

The pink feather earrings actually looks better when worn. I'm not that happy with the second earring. Anyway, I plan to grab one or two more. I want to own a yellow and green feather earrings. And I want bigger and longer ones.

I may have been a big fan of the color pink, but when it comes to my nails, I'd choose RED without batting an eyelash.

Red nails is just gorgeous. Believe it or not, I own 3 red nail polishes from different brands. I'm just attracted to it. And I dunno why >.<

Earlier, I've bought new nail polishes ♥

And yes, I've bought RED again. I'm super excited to try this out, so my current manicure will prolly only last until tomorrow? We'll see :))

Also, I'm planning to expand my red collection to lipsticks. I've already tried the red lipstick from Ever Bilena, not that happy with their lipstick but I realized that I also love red lips ♥ I'm planning to buy the red lipstick from NYX.

It took me years before I'm able to make my own Tumblr Theme! Can you believe it? Earlier, I've converted my previous layout into a tumblr theme:

And I can't believe that this so called Tumblr Theme Convertion can be done in 5 minutes or less. Anyway, at least I learned something new.

On the other hand, I'm becoming more fond of painting my nails. I can't really call it a manicure because the end result is always mediocre.

I've changed the color of my nails twice this week. I love the yellow one but something stained it so I need to remove it. Then I decided to use red. Gosh, I love red nail polish! I think I have 3 or 4 red ones from different brands.

2012: The First Of Many ♥

Hello!

I've been inactive since the week before Christmas, and now it's 2012 already! Pardon me for my absence, I'm just busy.

Anyway, my year end is really good. I've been doing a lot of catching up with my friends. I'll never grow tired seeing those familiar faces ♥.

Whenever I meet friends, I prefer to arrive early or should I say way early. It's not like I want to wait but we often meet in malls and I do want to have my own things first. Then I will sit down at a coffee shop while I wait for them.

This coming weekend I'll be meeting some friends again, my college friends this time. Damn, I so miss them ♥ And it's so difficult to meet those good people now because some of them are already working, while some are at their respective provinces :( So yeah, I'm very excited to meet them again!

On the other hand, 2012 so far is... ok :) Nothing good, nothing bad has happened... yet. Hoping for the good of course ♥

Here are my plans for 2012:

I've declared in my tumblr that I'll be joining the 50 Book Challenge for 2012. And I've finished 3 books already. I'm quite positive that the 50 books will be over before June because I read every night and I try to finish the book that I'm reading before I go to sleep... if it's interesting of course.

I really want to lose weight. I hope that this year, I'll be able to do it.

Get a job. A real job.

Meet more friends.

My plans for 2012 are quite laid back compared to what I had last year. Well, I've worked my ass off big time this 2011 (well, until July) and goodness, it just feels good.

Immortals

I can't remember the time when I've first seen the teaser for Immortals. But I do remember being smitten then.

Anyway, I happen to be out (on my own) earlier. But I don't have any plans then I came across the cinema and saw that Immortals is now showing (according to the teaser, this movie is set to premier on 111111, but it didn't! At least in the Philippines that is.) So I've decided to watch it.

To make the story short, I don't like it. I should have watched Happy Feet 2 instead of this.

And I have a new layout! What can you say about the layout?

Friday Freaks Me Out

I'm always out. And Friday is my least favorite day to go out. Anyway, I have decided to make an exception for this friday. Big mistake!

It's been raining already when I woke up. And I usually love to spend rainy days inside. Yet again, I made an exception today. So I prepped up and upon closing the door, the rainfall became heavier. That didn't stop me.

At the taxi stand, we're like the 8th passenger on the list. And it sucks that there are only a few cabs available and there's a long line of cab passengers waiting. After waiting for like half an hour, we've decided to take the bus. Since we took the bus, the original plan didn't materialize. We're supposed to go visit the Noel Bazaar at the PICC tent then eat at Sea Side, then go shopping in MOA. But we ended up in Trinoma, and we're always, always there like 2x-3x a week.

When we arrived, somebody handed out a print ad of a restaurant and we've decided to dine there. The concierge of the mall told us to go to the garden (we're most restaurants are in). Upon entering the garden, we cannot find the restaurant we're looking for! So we ended up dining in another restaurant.

We ate at Super Bowl of China. We pigged out!

I'm not even sure how the food tastes like because I'm really hungry earlier (I haven't eaten breakfast and we arrived around 1PM already!)

The malling experience is ok, I have no complains or whatsoever on that. But I got agitated when my mum texted me saying that "we need to go home early because it's been raining hard". Not like I want to stay until midnight at the mall, but I'm rather jumpy when I saw the "raining hard" part. ~~I think I've encountered too many rains for this lifetime~~

Again, we experienced the same long waiting line at the taxi lane. But at least I reached home safe and sound.

I don't think I'd want to go out on a Friday again. Err... I've experienced quite a lot of bad fridays. And I can't bring the car because of the coding thing -.-

I feel like screaming today. I posted a stat in Facebook and this guy, whom I met in an online game, replied. I know this guy is just trying to make a conversation, but really, I'm in no the mood to interact at the moment.

I appear friendly, and I claim to be friendly. Yes, I am friendly but I have these mood swings. My close friends know that when I'm not in the mood to talk, I won't talk. They understand when I'm like that. Not that I'm emo or something, there are just days that I don't feel like being chatty, yet I know how to go with the flow. Yet there were days that I feel like being chatty and talk to... ugh.. everyone. And today is just one of those days that I don't feel like making a conversation with a virtual friend.

I'm one heck of a contradiction.

Nothing Beats Pinoy Foods

The only benefit of being a bum is that you're always free to go wherever, whenever you want!

Since I go out a lot of times a week, what's inside the shops no longer excites me. What I saw last week or a few days ago will still be the same items that I see on my present visit. Pretty much, it's boring. But what I look forward in going out is the food!

The moment that I stepped inside the mall, the first thing in my mind is food. Me and my buddy wanted to eat something with rice since we both haven't eaten breakfast. Then we agreed to dine at Max's. I don't usually dine in Filipino restaurants because I Filipino food in my house. And it's like a golden rule between friends that we always, always try to look for a new fab restaurant. But today is an exception. We want to eat rice and Filipino dishes.

We ordered the usual Max's chicken and their Kare Kare.

Chicken is common at home, but Kare Kare isn't. I think it's been years since this dish has been prepared at home (they say that it's tedious to prepare - I don't cook, so I don't know.)

The taste? It's divine. Nothing beats Filipino foods ♥

The next Filipino resto that I want to try out is Savory. I haven't eaten there yet. But next time that I feel like eating Filipino foods, I'll go straight there.

The Most Fabolous

I've just finished watching the Victoria Secret Fashion Show 2011, and, as always, the show is fabolous!

The highlights of the show:

That's the 2 Brazilian Angels (goddesses) at the end of the show. Adriana and Alessandra are just awesome. I just wish that Giselle is also there.

The $ 2.5M Fantasy bra worn by Miranda Kerr. Last year, she wasn't able to join the fashion show because she's pregnant. And it's hard to believe that she was pregnant just last year with her body now! She looks adorable too.

The Aquatic Angels segment is quite notable because Miranda opened it with the Fantasy Bra, and there's that Moves Like Jagger performance by Maroon 5. And the kiss on the catwalk shared by Adam Levine and Anne V.

In case you dunno, they're an item. Adam even shared that last year, he's on the sidelines watching/cheering for Anne V.

The Spanish Fan Wings worn by Alessandra Ambrosio is the second best wings I've ever seen so far! (My favorite is the snow flake wings worn by Heidi Klum).

And lastly, I'm glad that Doutzen Kroes walked on this years Victoria Secret Fashion Show. (She also participated last year.)

2011 has been one hell of a year for me. I've had my last experience as a college student this year. And I must say that it's not easy. But in the end, it's worth it since I was able to graduate. I took the board exam a few months after graduation, and thank God, I passed.

So tell, how can I hate this year?

This year is also good to my family. This year is really, really good to us.. Thank God! So December 2011, please be nice! Haha C:

Winter is coming

I'm really hooked with HBO's new series, Game of Thrones. I don't even know how to start writing this post!

Game of Thrones is based on George R.R. Martin's A Song of Ice and Fire. The setting is Medieval Europe in a fantasy world called Westeros. And the powerful houses (families) in the land of Westeros are all battling it out for the Iron Throne.

One of the quotable quotes in the series is "When you play the game of thrones, it's either you win or you die". And that's what's happening in the series, because when the king died (King Robert of House Baratheon), things started to get messy.

Well, the only thing that I can comment is, this is one hell of an EPIC series! And not suitable for the younger audiences. Nudity and profanity are present in this series, but they are used for artistic purposes not merely to catch the attention of hormonal teenagers.

It's pretty obvious that I can't get enough no? And yeah, I started reading the book too. My god, it's epic! I'm damn excited for Season 2 but that's still so many months away since the launch is on Spring 2012. Whew!

Thanks for the concern on my previous post. And I'm good. Never better, I guess.

I've been absent for so long and that's because I've been extremely busy. I participated in a training seminar. The actual seminar lasted for 3 days, plus 5 days of completion. It's been one hell of a week for me, but it feels good. I met different people and got to share our experiences from the area when we're still students and, of course, gain new friends. And now, I'm back being a BUM and this is what I do:

I started playing this game 3 days ago, and I'm super hooked at it already. It's a dress up game and it's really cool! Well, I love fashion and I love shopping. And this game is all about those two!

I'm Ready To Make Money, I Think

Last year, I've been making money online but I was forced to divert my attention into making money to my graduation. The connection? None at all. But it's hard to concentrate on two things at the same time, that's why I need to give up one.

Now that I've graduated, I can focus in earning online.

I've made a fansite last October 20, and in October alone I was able to garner 1264 hits. Not bad, right? But I'm grinning to my ears right now because the total hits that I had during the last 12 days of October, those are the total number of page views that I receive in a day. In fact, I get more than that in a day. And just 2 days ago, I hit the 200-300 unique visitors a day. It's still far from my target, but at least I'm on it knowing that my site is not yet even a month old.

I plan to open a SEO Site so that I can share my experiences and teach some SEO stuff as well.

Last year, I had friends who guide and share resources, but now, I'm on my own. And even though I've only ventured in the SEO grounds for weeks, I almost lose hope that I won't be able to make that break again. God is good, and because of that I'm willing to share my knowledge about it.

This blog will remain ad free, paid review free because I always wanted to keep something to myself.

Tutorial: How To Get A Skin Like A Koreana

Have you ever wonder why Korean women (particularly Korean female celebs) have that some sort of glow in their skin?

The secret behind that is BB Cream. I know this secret was out for so long. But not all BB creams are perfect and that they would give you just the right amount of glow you needed.

So here, Im'ma teach you on how to get that perfect glow! Unfortunately, I don't do videos. Anyway, you'll be needing the following:

BB Cream

Matte Powder

Total Face Brush

Note: Any brand would do.

Step 1: Apply the BB Cream
Just apply it as you normally do.

Step 2: Dust your face with the matte powder
Just dust your face lightly with the powder. We want that glow from the BB cream but we do not want to overdo it. The purpose of the matte powder is to balance the glow. Also, the brush is very important. Because if you use a sponge, the matte powder will cover the BB cream or blend with it. We don't want either of those, we just want to have the perfect glow.

That's all :)

I Kinda Miss Studying

A year ago, all I ever wanted was for the 2nd semester to be over so that I can graduate. How ironic.

Actually this nostalgic feeling came up when I've opened my Starbucks Planner.

I want to get a new Starbucks Planner for 2012, then I saw my planner and I started browsing it. There, I saw my miserable, hectic and toxic schedule as a student last year. I dunno how I made it one piece!

Note: It's really blurry. It's meant that way :)

I was tied to school every day of the week. And the most sleep that I've ever had was 5 hours. When we're finalizing - though more like rushing - our thesis, we sleep in shifts and you'll be lucky to get 3 hours of sleep.

Then on the 14th Day of March, we had our thesis defense. And that's it. It's over. Finish line. Checkered Flag! Whatever you want to call it.

After that, I slept alot. Ate alot. Try to bond with my family and friends, because I've missed alot.

And now, HELLO BUM LIFE! My schedule is literally blank the whole week. I have had a 360 degree turn in my life. Not that I hate this, but sometimes I want to relieve the Superwoman Series in my life.

All I Wanted

It's been ages since I've last had French Tips. They're just classy and clean. My new nails are love. (And sorry for the messy background.)

I'm still practicing my SLR skills. I dunno if I've improved or not, but I do enjoy taking pictures. I used to take loads of pictures of myself, but now, I just love to take random pictures.

I'll go out next week. So Im'ma charge this baby:

I don't feel like carrying a big camera when I'm out, because: it's heavy, it's bulky and I don't have the right bag for it. I've been asking my dad to buy me one way, way back but he always say that it's not necessary. I'm crossing my fingers that he'll finally see the light of having a camera bag.

I'm learning how to shoot like a pro with my SLR! I've been trying to learn the manual thing, but I'm not really good with it. So obviously, I use the automatic feature, which as you all know, sucks big time. And my new app is helping me how to do it! Crazy? More like desperate! LOL.

On the other hand, I successfully skinned my phone!

Ok, so maybe I've done this before but I did something wrong. Earlier, I was able to tweak it back to the original settings.

And this may sound lamde, k fine, it's really lame! But I finally learn how to make a screenshot on my iPod. My goodness, I can't believe that it took me a year to learn this trick.

It's November 1, and in the Philippines people would go to the cemetery and visit their deceased loved ones. We didn't. And it's been some time since our family did it.

Since we don't visit the cemetery anymore, what we do is light-up candles in our garden.

On the other hand, I'm finishing Gossip Girl Season 4 because I want to watch Season 5.

I'm still in need of new tv series to watch. I'm quite bored here. Still, boredom is better than school. Crap! I'm no longer a student.

I ain't a fan of those two and I actually don't care about them, but when I saw this news I was like "didn't these two just got married a few weeks ago?" Then I landed on another article featuring them and my jaw just dropped when I saw that they've only been married for 72 days to be exact.

Just what the hell is happening to the world. Or this is simply reality and I should stop dreaming for happy endings? Well, one thing is for sure, I'm not a celebrity.

Salad Days

Caesar Salad is such a big hit on me nowadays. It all started when my aunt introduced me to Goolai. That's the brand of the pre-packed salad we usually buy at the supermarket.

Then my mum suggested that instead of buying, we make one. And so I did make one! I bought the supplies: a bag of fresh lettuce, kruttons, beacon bits and salad dressing. And voila, this is the outcome:

On the other hand, I've just downloaded Girls' Generation's iPhone app for their new album, The Boys.

The app contains the concept photos of the nine girls, promo vids and a link to their facebook. By the way, there's no complete version yet - I think.

Lastly, I so need a new series to watch. Switched at Birth is such a big hit on me, and the others on the list is either not my thing or cannot be found. I'm bored lately and I so need to discover a new great series.

UST At A Glance

My brother took his entrance examination at the University of Sto. Tomas today. And even though I didn't spend the last 4 years of my life in this university, it still feels nice to be back here. (Well I also took the USTET 5 years ago) My mom studied in this university for a year and she keeps on telling us that it's like the school went in a total overhaul. And seriously, the campus looks amazing. It's like you've been taken back in the 1600s. By the way, UST was founded in 1641 - it's the oldest university in Asia, and a few years older than Harvard too!

5 years ago, I never had a chance to look around in the campus because I was busy with the exam. After 5 years, I have all the time in the world.

Switched At Birth

I finished all 10 episodes last night. It's pretty good!

Switched At Birth is the story of 2 girls, born on the same day and in the same hospital, who were accidentally switched at birth. About 2-3 episodes were the family's adjustment period. The drama is not dragging and is fast-paced. It's actually a nice drama all-in-all. I'll continue watching this drama.

It's a long week-end for us here in the Philippines. So now, I'm currently fishing out new series in IMDb.

And here they are:

Switched at Birth. I think I'm really into twinseries nowadays, The Lying Game is a big hit on me and I've been looking for more stuff like that.

DeVanity. The story is about the DeVanity family and their desire to save their Jewelry Empire. Well, this sounds interesting to me.

Once Upon A Time. I love fairytales, but the downside is I don't like the story of Snow White. This is the story of Snow White. But it sounds interesting so I'm taking this one. I hope it's gooooood!

The Borgias. It's a historical drama set in 1492 Italy. The summary says that it's the saga of the crime family. Well, I'm into historicals. I've watched a couple of movies and I love them. Hope this one's good.

Ringer. Sarah Michelle Gellar is starring in this show. Nuff said.

Also, I am a little intrigued on Gossip Girl Season 5. I don't like Season 4, I haven't even finished it. I think I was only able to watch until Episode 9 or 10. I really didn't like it. But I don't want to start watching the new season without even finishing the previous one. Oh, what to do?

Lastly, I need/want Japanese emoticons. Where can I get some? Pretty please. :)

Last Minute Costume Ideas

Wow! It's almost Halloween and since I've been extremely busy with stuffy, I forgot to think about my Halloween Costume. I won't disagree if you say that the costume should be given a thought, but I don't want to rack my brain with those stuff. So here's my idea of last minute Halloween Costume:

A few a weeks ago, popular Korean girl group released their concept photos for their latest album. The fans guessed that the album concept for the boys is fairytale. Fairytale or not, I really like their outfits and I think it would look great for a Halloween Costume.

If it were me, I'd probably chose the Red Riding Hood of Sunny or Tiffany's Little Mermaid. They're not the conventional costumes for a fairytale, but they do look nice.

So what do you think? And what are you wearing for Halloween?

Tumblr Site: To Give Up or Not?

I'm having this dilemma. When I started afrosh on this site, my intention is to write down all blog entries here. But the big problem is, I'm really into my tumblr site and literally post everything there.

On the other hand, I played with Polyvore again. And while I'm making my new set, I just realized how I'm into the basic colors, particularly black, white and beige. This is not the first time that I arrived on something like this:

And the last time I checked, my closet is stuffed with white shirts (I have closet-full of that) and shorts. At least I'm a little colorful on my shoe collection. It's easy to mix and match since everything goes well with white.

Lastly, mum I wan these babies ♥

Pink Thursday & Ramblings

Had a mani & pedi today, and I had my nails painted in Hot Pink. I'm totally digging this color. I so love it ♥

On the other hand, I'm contemplating on the progress of my project. It's been a week since I started that website. And here's the stat for the whole week: 517 Page Views and 134 Unique Visitors. I know it will take time to regain my so-many-visitors a day status, but I still find these stats as a failure. I'll try again for the following week. Dearest Google, please be kind to me.

I'm looking at the Google Analytics page of the websie that used to work on. And I so wanna cry right now. I just can't believe that I've hit the 3k+ Unique Visitors a day a year ago. And now I'm already happy with less than a hundred.

Did I lost the SEO touch? I dunno. But I so wanna cry because I got "distracted" and didn't continue. I'm almost there, but I didn't continue. It's really sad.

Since I feel like I won't be able to concentrate unless I make/do that thing, I've made a Portfolio Site! And that's not all, I'm very proud to present to you the layout I've made for my new site:

And finally, I made a layout for my blog!

I feel so happy with this. Now I only need to make 1 more layout for my Contest Site (because I plan to enter contests again) so that I can re-launch it.

Lastly, the sad thing happened. My tumblr site gets hacked. To whoever did this, my gosh, you don't have a life, don't you? To think that you would hack a tumblr site of someone unfamous in tumblr. Rawr! I so hate you.

Unexpected New Layout

As said in the title, this is unexpected.

Actually, while I was making this layout, my actual intention is to submit it to Blogskins. It's been 2 years since my last submission, which is very, very crappy by the way. But when I finished the layout, I realized that I'm using someone else's layout and might be accused of copying someone else's codes! So in the end, I used this as my own.

I'll just make a better and customized layout next time. I'll continue to submit this tho!

PS: I just love the image border effects! :P

It's been years since I've lost had a decent blog entry. And just recently, I've been using my tumblr for my daily blurbs which I think is kinda off, that's why Im'ma use this site as my main blog. Just for the daily accounts tho. I'll still use my tumblr from time-to-time.

Anyway, I'll use this layout in the mean time. I'm still a little busy with my current project which is the Girls Generation Fansite. I'm hella serious about it! And then I'll be busy with my next project which is my already-years-old Contest Blog. It certainly needs an overhaul! After that, that's the only time I can finally fix my personal blog. Or maybe, I'll have to deal with this first. Hehe! Til next time!
